Pocket Snakewhips
At 2 feet long, and with a short fall, pocket snake whips can quite literally, fit in your pocket, or be used as a hat band. They require far less material than other whips, frequently using scraps for the belly, and are simple to make. Although they are economical, I don't recommend these for beginners as the short length is difficult to learn the correct motions for cracking.

Poppers/Crackers
I make crackers from many different materials. White nylon is the cheapest as it's made from essentially waste material, the internal guts of paracord, but it does tangle and snag easily. Artificial sinew and waxed Dacron are stiffer than nylon and are less likely to tangle or get knots. Polypropylene is stiffer still and makes an excellent cracker for practice. Kevlar crackers come in 2 varieties, standard and "chainsaw". Chainsaw crackers are specifically designed for can cutting. They are extra long and have additional knots tied along their bodies.Not sure what to get? Try the assortment pack!
